Dr. Asma Shakeel has served as the Head of the Department of Law and Legal Studies at Mid Island University for several decades, where she has been a leading figure in legal education and scholarship. Research Focus
Dr. Shakeel’s research primarily explores the intersections of international human rights law, constitutional law, and legal ethics. Her work seeks to understand and address global and domestic challenges in human rights protections and legal reforms. She is particularly interested in the role of international legal frameworks in shaping national policies and advocating for marginalized communities.
