Prof. Gabriel Thompson

Research Interests

Prof. Gabriel Thompson has been a cornerstone of the Political Science Department at Mid Island University for over three decades. As the Department Head, he has significantly shaped the department’s direction and growth, fostering a rigorous academic environment dedicated to the study of political systems, international relations, and public policy. His leadership has been instrumental in the development of the department’s research agenda and educational programs.

Prof. Thompson's academic journey began with a Ph.D. in Political Science from Harvard University, where he specialized in comparative politics and international relations. Since joining Mid Island University, he has established himself as a leading scholar in the field, focusing on the dynamics of political institutions, governance, and global political economy. His extensive research has been published in top-tier journals and has contributed to a deeper understanding of political processes and international diplomacy.
