PROF. ISAAC TAYLOR

Prof. Isaac Taylor has served as the Head of the Health Sciences Department at Mid Island University for over three decades. Under his leadership, the department has grown into a premier institution for advancing health sciences education and research. Prof. Taylor's expertise encompasses a broad range of topics within health sciences, including public health, epidemiology, and healthcare policy.

Research Focus

Prof. Taylor’s research is centered on the intersection of public health and healthcare systems. His work aims to understand and improve health outcomes through evidence-based practices and innovative solutions. One of his primary research interests is the study of health disparities and the development of strategies to address these inequalities on both local and global scales.

A major area of Prof. Taylor’s current research involves the evaluation of community health programs and interventions. His studies utilize quantitative and qualitative methods to assess the effectiveness of public health initiatives and inform policy decisions. He is particularly focused on exploring how social determinants of health influence individual and community well-being.

Prof. Taylor also leads a research initiative on the impact of healthcare policies on health equity. This project involves collaboration with policymakers, public health practitioners, and academic researchers to develop and implement policies that promote equitable access to healthcare services.

Community Health Research Lab

Prof. Taylor’s lab, the Community Health Research Lab, is dedicated to studying the effectiveness of public health interventions and policies. The lab’s current projects include:

• Health Disparities and Access to Care: Investigating barriers to healthcare access for underserved populations.

• Program Evaluation: Assessing the impact of community health programs on population health.

• Healthcare Policy Analysis: Analyzing the effects of health policies on health outcomes and equity.
